Teeth for Life

Practicing good oral hygiene means maintaining your child’s smile by visiting our office regularly and taking care of teeth and gums between checkups. Our practice wants to make sure your son or daughter gets the most out of office visits, and that his or her teeth stay healthy for life!

We’ll work with you to provide complete dental care, and show you how to maintain your youngster’s smile at home with the right dental products for your family.

Dental Cleanings and Regular Checkups

Regular dental checkups are an essential part of maintaining good oral health. During regular checkups, the hygienist will:

  • Check for any problems that may not be seen or felt
  • Look for cavities or other signs of tooth decay
  • Inspect the teeth and gums for gingivitis and signs of periodontal disease
  • Perform a thorough teeth cleaning, rinse, and polish

Visiting our office every six months gives you and your child the chance to ask Dr. Matt or Dr. Denise any questions you may have about your family’s oral health. Checkups are also a great way to find out about new treatments that may benefit your child’s smile.

Choosing the Right Toothpaste and Toothbrush

From toothpaste and mouthwash to toothbrushes and dental floss, it’s worthwhile to choose the right products. Keep in mind that when you’re looking for a new toothpaste or toothbrush, be sure to choose one that has been approved by the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Matt or Dr. Denise can also help by recommending certain dental products for use at home.

Get Started

Say cheese!

Before we can recommend a treatment plan, we need to take a peek at your teeth. Let’s warm up with a head-on selfie. Bite down on your back teeth and smile as wide as you can! Do your best to match the photo at the top.

Left side

Great shot! Next up, we need to see your smile from the left side. Still biting down on your back teeth, pull your cheek back either with your fingers or using a spoon. Do your best to match the photo at the top.

Right side

These are coming out great! Let's try the same shot, this time from the right. Make sure you're biting down on your back teeth! Do your best to match the photo at the top.

Upper teeth

Next up, we need to see your upper teeth from below. Open wide! You may want to enlist the help of a friend for this one. Do your best to match the photo at the top.

Bottom teeth

Almost done: just one shot left! This time, we need to see your lower teeth. Once you've taken all of your photos, click Request Consult to send your shots to our doctor!
